Living Beyond Breast Cancer

Living Beyond Breast Cancer

What is the Living Beyond Breast Cancer Series?

As a young individual with breast cancer, you have unique needs and questions. We are proud to host two free workshops for young women, men, transgender and non-binary individuals diagnosed with breast cancer in partnership with Living Beyond Breast Cancer, a national breast cancer non-profit organization that provides trusted information and a community of support. This program is presented by M Health Fairview and the Masonic Cancer Center.

The Survivorship Series will give you tips and tools to help you cope with your diagnosis and common side effects, build confidence and empower you to take charge of your health. This series is geared towards people diagnosed with breast cancer prior to the age of 50, that are either still in active treatment with curative intent, or those that have completed their treatment. Topics include early menopause, long term effects of treatment, sex and intimacy, and selfcare after breast cancer.

Choose to register for the sessions you’d like to attend live or online. It’s free to attend, but registration is required. Doors open for in-person attendees at 8:30am with check in and light refreshments. The session begins at 9:00am and will wrap up at 11:30am.

Meet Your Speakers

Holly Kreuser, RN, BSN, OCN

Holly

Hello, my name is Holly Kreuser, RN, BSN, OCN. I work as a Cancer Survivorship Coordinator at M Health Fairview.  I have been working with cancer patients for the past 12 years in various nursing capacities. As a Survivorship Coordinator, I work with cancer patients to help them navigate through the transition from the acute treatment phase to the post treatment phase of their cancer journey. I help provide cancer treatment summaries to patients at the end of treatment, discuss available resources, and provide information about the long and late side effects from treatment. I am passionate about this work and want to be sure patients have the knowledge and support they need as they move through their cancer journey.

Prior to being a Case Manager, I worked on an Oncology/Medical unit as an inpatient nurse.
