A cancer diagnosis can alter the landscape of your life. Although it doesn’t redefine you, it can change your lifetime healthcare needs. Join us for this education conference that is focused on questions and issues that survivors and their families often face after cancer treatment or following stem-cell transplantation.

Who is a Cancer Survivor?

You are a cancer survivor from the point of a cancer diagnosis including throughout treatment and living with cancer and throughout remission.

Who Should Attend?

Cancer survivors ages 16 and older, parents, spouses and significant others, healthcare professionals, school administrators, and social workers can benefit from attending this educational conference.

How Do I Attend Virtually?

After registering, you will receive a copy of your responses to the email provided on the registration. This serves as your confirmation. In late March/early April you will receive an email with access to the virtual exhibit booths to begin exploring resources. On Friday, April 7 you will receive emails with further instructions on accessing the content which is hosted via Zoom.

COVID-19 Information

We are pleased to offer this in person event while maintaining our number one goal of keeping the University of Minnesota community safe while learning.
 
As with any activity, there is inherent risk and the circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic have created a heightened degree of personal risk and responsibility. The Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota is maintaining all legal and required measures to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 during this event.
 
We are currently monitoring local data on COVID-19 levels in order to keep our events safe and will take necessary health precautions based on these levels and guidance from the CDC, MDH, and our own public health experts. Guests will be informed of any updates to the event that may occur due to the virus.
 
How we are maintaining on-site safety:
  • Masks, gloves, disinfectant wipes, and hand sanitizer are available at the event.
  • Check-in and food pick up areas are designed to minimize time in lines.
  • Increased cleaning is being applied in event spaces.
  • Event space ventilation is maximized according to the UMN Facilities Management COVID-19 ventilation standards.
How attendees can maintain on-site safety:
  • At this time, masks are not required, but are strongly recommended when not actively eating or drinking.
  • If you are feeling unwell, please stay at home.
  • Get tested, vaccinated, and boosted before attending.
